Opening its doors, Verso presents its first group exhibition. Titled começo, meio e começo— beginning, middle, and beginning—it draws from a verse by Antônio Bispo, a Brazilian quilombola thinker. His poem speaks of journeys that celebrate existence, echoing the idea that when one river meets another, it does not die but forges a new course.

The exhibition brings together artists based in Lisbon and Porto in dialogue with Brazilian artists, particularly from the Northeast. Their works explore the expansion of the horizon of possibility, moving through flows and new ways of seeing what does not yet exist—or what remains nearly invisible. 

 

In a project where the end is not what defines it, but rather the process itself, we embrace experimentation, the organic, and the unfinished. Here, means are not mere passages; they are acts of creation, possibilities for new beginnings.

Abrindo suas portas, a Verso recebe sua primeira exposição coletiva. O título—começo, meio e começo—parte de um verso de Antônio Bispo, pensador quilombola brasileiro. Seu poema fala sobre trajetórias que permitem festejar existências, em consonância com a ideia de que um rio, ao encontrar outro, não morre, mas cria um novo curso. 
 

A exposição reúne artistas residentes em Lisboa e no Porto em diálogo com artistas brasileiros, especialmente da região Nordeste. Suas obras exploram a expansão do horizonte do possível, transitando entre fluxos e novas formas de enxergar o que ainda não existe—ou o que permanece quase invisível. 

 

Em um projeto onde o fim não é o que o define, mas sim o próprio processo, celebramos as confluências, o jogo e a experimentação. Aqui, os meios não são meros atravessamentos: são gestos de criação, possibilidades de novos começos.
